The Texas Department of State Health Services has announced their plan to roll out their next wave of the vaccine. 158,825 Vaccines will be distributed within 104 Texas counties this week.
With this new wave, Texas will have distributed 1.7 million vaccines in total. The numbers are hopeful, however experts are still underlining the fact that Texas has a long to go to get the virus under control.
This new wave of vaccines will be distributed to 28 large hubs around the state. Major cities, as well rural areas will be covered. As of now the people eligible for vaccines are mostly healthcare workers, the elderly and people with medical conditions that increase the mortality chances if they were to get Covid.
Each of these hubs will be required to register anyone who receives the vaccine and focus on the aforementioned groups. Below are the hubs and the number of vaccines they will be receiving.
